CAN, short for Controller Area Network, is a local area network communication protocol used in cars and other types of devices. The CAN bus can connect multiple electronic control units (ECUs), allowing these ECUs to communicate with each other and exchange data.

Collecting data through 3-way CAN means that the device or system CAN receive data from three different CAN channels at the same time. This design can improve the reliability and efficiency of data transmission, as multiple channels of data can be processed in parallel.

The standard 2-way CAN means that two CAN channels are included in the standard configuration of the device. These channels may be used to connect to other ECUs or devices and transmit and share critical information.

CAN bus acquisition module has the characteristics of fast sampling data update speed, high conversion accuracy, small conversion linear error, high communication rate, strong anti-interference performance, very low error rate, far transmission examples, etc. It can well complete the collection of field information and simple data processing and data communication. The system based on this module is especially suitable for the distributed control system with complex field environment and high real-time requirement.

In practical applications, the nodes (information) on the network can be divided into different priorities, which can meet different real-time requirements. When two nodes transmit information to the network at the same time, the node with a lower priority stops sending data, while the node with a higher priority continues to transmit data without being affected. In addition, each frame of information has CRC check and other error detection measures, and the data error rate is very low. The communication medium can be twisted pair, coaxial cable and optical fiber, generally using cheap twisted pair can be, no special requirements. The number of nodes can actually reach 110, and the node has the function of automatically closing the bus in the case of serious errors, cutting off its contact with the bus, so that other operations on the bus are not affected. The direct communication distance can be up to 10km (speed below 5Kbps), and the communication rate can be up to 1MB/s (the distance at this time is up to 40m).
